As Summer light begins to fade away, Fall will soon come rolling in. Along with the beauty of the changing seasons, come cooler temperatures. For many, the challenge of staying warm in colder weather is far from easy
This year, we are geared to build our Warmth project even bigger in order to help more people faced with the critical challenge of keeping warm.
Last year, we received some wonderful donations in the way of hand-knit and crocheted hats, scarves and mittens. We donated the items to the Interfaith Coalition here in town who runs an Emergency Shelter as well as provides clothing to the homeless.
So once again..knitters, crocheters, fleece-crafters, we welcome your hand-made warm and cozies (hats, scarves, mittens, fingerless mitts, cowls) If you are not a knitter purchased warm and natural-fiber items in new condition are much appreciated too:
Please mail your items by November 1, 2009 to: (Deadline is Flexible, we are gratefully accepting donations all winter long) Thank you!!
