I got up extra early today to capture a little bit of the beautiful early morning light and catch up on a little reading. I was inspired this morning reading this beautiful post over at Blue Yonder and the other day at SouleMama on rocking chairs and thought about my own rocker. While it isn't an antique by any means, it does hold beautiful memories and stories. I thought about rocking my girl just three days old. A first nursing in our chair, a first sleeping the two of us rocking along. Rocking at nap times, bed times, many stories read with her on my lap cozy and warm under our favorite knitted blanket. Rocking along in the quiet morning light Ah, these posts inspired me to rock along, reflect from my window.
And yes this weekend, pick up my next knitting project, hold my girl close and feel so grateful for just the quiet calm of rocking along.
Soaking in the history, the stories in the rhythm of rocking, sharing, creating, loving.
To a sweet weekend...

The bottom photo is just so beautiful! I just gave my rocker away after finishing breastfeeding. They are rather soothing chairs, aren't they?
